Futuristic Theory with #Neanderthal DNA by @AnitaPhilmar

Remember in Jurassic Park how scientist recreated dinosaurs for the DNA recovered from mosquitos.

Well, now that scientists have found Neanderthal DNA in humans what if they discover, that this is the missing link to psychic abilities?

Whether or not this is tTrue or not. I used this premise to build the premise for my new series The Ancient Warrior Prophecy.

A secret society of people have Neanderthal DNA. They know the power, which is being passed down through the generations. Their leaders and shamen have been passing down the knowledge of the tasks they need to perform for humanity. This prophecy requires strong men and women to step up and save us from the destruction of the world.

The Warrior in Me – yes, it appears to be nothing more than a simple murder mystery with strong romantic elements. But it also reveals the secret people who carry the burden of saving the world. How they work to protect the secret of Neanderthal in the human genome.

The Warrior in Me – Erotic Murder Mystery/ Romantic suspense

Blurb: Special Security Agent Sebastian Berlin is eager to track down his partner’s killer. Instead, he’s assigned the job of baby-sitting a scientist. His boss thinks she’s the key to an Ancient Warrior Prophecy. Science never interested Sebastian, but the know-it-all female standing at the end of his Alaskan dock could persuade him to do a little experimenting. That is, if he can keep his Neanderthal Warrior genes from taking control.

DNA specialist Lily Sinclair is in need of a vacation, or so her over-protective ex-husband tells her. Arriving in chilly Alaska instead of sunny Cancun, she’s tired and cranky and so not in the mood for her bodyguard’s he-man tactics. Still, there’s something about the sexy eye-candy that makes her want to lick him all over even as she’s demanding to go home.

Then Lily’s ex is poisoned, and Sebastian is certain the two murders are connected and she could be next. She knows he’s hiding something, but with the worldwide release of Neanderthal DNA project only days away, she has no choice but to trust him to protect her. But can she trust him with her heart?

Excerpt:

“I hate to tell you, but we found Cain’s body last night. He took two slugs in the chest.”

Relief, followed quickly by shock, filled Sebastian. A numbing sense of disbelief overwhelmed him. “What the hell? I thought he was working on a simple security detail.”

“Did he discuss his assignment with you?”

Sebastian ran a hand through his hair and scrambled to recall his last conversation with his best friend. Cain had called a week ago with a request for information on the people he’d been assigned to protect in California. His voice had reflected a bored almost disgusted tone. At the time, Sebastian had held his tongue and didn’t comment, but later he questioned the anomaly. His friend loved life and never became discouraged even when the odds were against him.

Frowning, Sebastian rubbed a hand over his neck, stroking the hairs that suddenly stood on alert. His initial disbelief faded. A gaping hole widened before him and stretched into an endless sea of despair. What the hell would he do without his best friend, his confidant?

After Christmas #Sale by @AnitaPhilmar

BlackDragonboxset

This is the complete set for the price of one book $2.99.

1st Book – Black Dragon’s Blood

Amanda Spencer has spent years searching for clues to her first husband’s murder. Now, she is close, too close to let William VanHorn get in the way. He wants to claim her as his wife, but she doesn’t have time to satisfy the man’s needs. She wants answers, not sex.

Set on fire by Amanda, William won’t let the lady escape. If she wants answers, he’ll get them. As head of the Dragon Center, he has connections and nothing will stop him from capturing her heart.

Excerpt:

William blocked her path before she could take more than two additional steps; a gift of his blood to be able to react so quickly.

Her curse was to smell his heat, to know his need, to want him inside her, making her blood boil. Luckily, the human part of her nature controlled her actions, reminded her of past heartache.

“A woman with your level of dragon blood needs a man, needs to have his children.” His strong hand circled her forearm. She sensed the heavy pulse of his blood beating against her tender skin.

“Not a possibility, William, even if I did agree to marry you.” She tugged her arm from his grasp. “I’ve been married twice. In neither case did I have a child. With you, it would be no different.”

His eyes narrowed to slits. “Are you telling me you’re unable to bear children?”

“You’re an intelligent man, William. What do you think?”

“Your father didn’t tell me this.”

“Yes, well, why would he? It would have been counterproductive to his plan, wouldn’t it?” The angry tightening of his jaw told Amanda she’d gained her freedom.

Stepping around him, she slid the door open on the metal railing and stood for a moment staring at his back. Other more pressing business required her attention. If she was lucky, she could get home, pack and get out of town before William picked up her trail again.

“Good luck finding some other lady to meet your needs, William.”

Book 2 – Black Dragon’s Moon

Dragon Center agent, Dee Butterfield, finally has the job she’s always longed for. On her first assignment, her job is to protect sculptor, Scott VanHorn. His rich dragon blood tempts her into an affair that could not only jeopardize her career but possibly her life.

Determined to find out who killed his best friend, Scott poses as a struggling artist to help the Dragon Center investigate a corrupt art dealer. He has ulterior motives for requesting Dee as his protector, getting her in his bed not the least of them. However, Scott soon realizes his mistake.

When the mission becomes more dangerous than either of them anticipate, Scott’s black dragon blood stirs to protect Dee while hers calls for retribution.

Excerpt:

“It doesn’t matter you’re not looking at me as a potential mate. We’re only here to have a little fun.”

His dark eyes narrowed to small slits. “The terms of engagement?”

She stepped closer. Her silk covered breasts brushed against his broad chest. The sexy purr of the fabric whispered between them. “I’ll be honest I want to make love to you. But I’m not interested in anything more serious.”

“No ties,” His burning gaze ran over her face. Hot hands gripped her hips, “is that it?”

“You got it. I want to keep my job as a Dragon Center agent. That can’t happen if I get married.”

His eyes shifted to her mouth, hunger flared in their darkness. A swipe of his tongue moistened his lips. The hands on her hips slid over her backside, pressing her into his rock-hard erection. She shivered.

“We’re only going to have a little fun.” Her hands worked their way around his neck. “Agreed?”

He moved his lips within a breath of hers before he responded. “No.”

His mouth claimed hers. –

Book 3 – Black Dragon’s Heart

Devoted chemist, Sarah VanHorn, lives for her research but fantasizes about loving Jake Ramsey. Her two worlds collide when the dragon center agent arrives to rescue her from the company suspected of producing chemicals dangerous to those with dragon blood.

Sarah’s not the only one with fantasies. Jake wants Sarah as his mate and he’s waited years to claim her. Now, under his protective custody—not to mention the influence of Syndetic’s sexual stimulant scenting the air—he can’t resist the fiery temptation to finally make her his.

But when tragedy strikes and their dreams are threatened, will Sarah sacrifice her career, Jake, and possibly her life to discover the answers? And will Jake let her?

Excerpt

The plan of waiting until after the final security check of the night before making his appearance raced through his mind. He couldn’t afford for any of the guards to overhear their conversation.

Had he over simplified things?

Before he determined his course of action, Sarah hit the magnetic mechanism of her dress. Her lush breasts fell forward, free from the confines of the material. She slid the garment off her shoulders and cupped her breasts, holding them in her delicate hands like a gift.

Jake almost swallowed his tongue. Desire pooled in his loins.

She exited his line of sight, and he took a silent breath to replace the one he’d been holding. The sweet scent of apple blossoms filled his lungs.

Dragon dung. He’d forgotten how an innocent woman smelled like pure paradise.

The blankets on her bed shifted. A rustling sound echoed through the room. He imagined her removing the rest of her clothes. A tick later, he caught a brief glimpse of her in a red robe, and then she stepped into the wash room.

The click of the door closing allowed him the freedom to shift his position. He cursed the dragon blood running through his veins. He normally redirected his lust without a problem, but with his current dry spell, Sarah’s scent slammed him against the limits of his self-control.

But she’d be under the blankets soon. A few deep breaths later, he relaxed and centered his mind on the strategy for their upcoming escape.

The door to the washroom whispered opened.

Her shadow passed directly in front of the screen, and then she slid into bed and the lights dimmed.

Her form shifted under the blanket. In a few moments, the guard would lock the outside bolt.

Then he’d explain his mission.

Excerpt:

“We’re still not done.”

I sighed and plopped back down. “There’s more?”

He swallowed. “Come to the memorial tomorrow and I’ll give you the envelope.”

“I-I can’t. I’m working. Not only that, but I’m sure I’m no longer welcome. I could be walking into a disaster.”

“No one hates you. Except maybe me.” He snorted.

My breath held. “Is that true?”

“Maybe a little,” he answered.

“Then why would you want me to come to the memorial?”

“Because I want to see that sexy ass,” he growled the words.

My cheeks burned. Blaze never did own a filter. “Now you’re making fun of me.” I looked at him through the veil of my lashes. He was still handsome—mysteriously so.

“Honey, I’d never make fun of something as sweet as your ass. I did notice it’s as tight as ever, even in the nun outfit.”

“This isn’t a nun’s outfit!”

“Have you missed me at all, sweetheart?”

My stomach did a triple flip. I slid my clammy palms down the skirt. I could lie, but then again, I couldn’t. “I’ve thought about you, us, many times.”

“You sent the cards,” he said. “Didn’t you?”

“Yes, I did.”

“Why?”

“Because I wanted to wish you a happy birthday.” My heart skipped.

“Damn, Bambi. I didn’t think it was you. Hell, I’d hoped.” He blew out a breath through his tight lips. He left the couch and dropped to his knees in front of me—bringing back memories of another time. I didn’t resist as he pressed my body into the cushion, caging me with his iron-hard length. Springs popped as he leaned closer. I inhaled his scent and my head spun. I pulled away but I couldn’t go far. My body ached for him.

“I can’t allow you to do this to me.”

“What, sweetheart?” he whispered.

“Make me lose all sanity. I don’t want this again.”

“Your eyes tell me something very different,” he whispered. His breath swept across my cheek. “I think you want me to take you to places you’ve never been.”

“My eyes are telling you to fuc—”

He pressed his finger against my lips. “Tsk, tsk, schoolteacher. What vile language you have.” His eyes sparkled. “Don’t make me put you over my knee and spank you.” His words held promise and my toes curled. The thought of his hand on my bare ass did pleasant and naughty things to my secret places.

I could only stare. My eyes filled with tears and my body awakened from years of being in a comatose state. His talent of disorienting me never ceased to amaze me. Why could no man erupt such a powerful force within me as Blaze could? I understood the influence he had on me, my body. He could drag me down a heated path of uncertainty and I’d go willingly.

He threaded his fingers into my hair and the clip snapped, a lot like the unlocking of the gates guarding my heart. The locks fell to my shoulders and across his tanned arm. I noticed the tattoo of a cross wound in ivy. I looked closer and my mouth fell open. “Blaze, my name, it’s in the tattoo.” My heart beat so loud it vibrated my eardrums.

“Yes. I got it after you left. Two of my favorite things. You and faith.”

I couldn’t hold my emotion any longer.

“Aww, now. Don’t cry, baby. If I see tears, I’ll have to lick them away, one by one, and I don’t think I could stop there. I’ve been dreaming of tasting all of you.”

I jerked and tried closing my legs, but he stayed between them. He moved deeper, spreading my hips wider. His belt buckle rubbed my inner thighs, exploding a burning need in my core. I pushed the heel of my hands into his chest. I wanted to be angry. I wanted to fight the urgency within me—the driving desire pushing me to let myself fall into him. The boundaries were slipping. “I’ve never wanted anything as much as I want to give in.” The cloud of desire welcomed me, enclosing me in its warmth and comfort.

“Remember when I told you how I wanted to sink myself deep into you? To hear you call my name. I wanted you to rip your nails into my skin and mark your territory, just as you marked my soul with your sweet love. I’ve thought about it over and over—thought about the things I could have done differently. And now, I’m lost. I’m brainwashed in your fucking heat, Rena. I want to ease this torture in my body.”

The moment turned tense. “I’m sure you’ve had plenty of help easing the strain behind your zipper.” I hated my bitter words that sounded like jealousy. I was jealous. I hated knowing another woman touched him, brought him pleasure. I squeezed my hands into fists, dragging the leather material of his cut between my fingers.

“I’m glad to see you’re still green-eyed with jealousy.” He winked.

“You’re a pig!” I pounded his chest, but not hard. Not enough to send him backward. I didn’t want him going anywhere.

He grabbed my wrists and held them easily in one hand, tight against his chest. He lowered his face so close that our noses touched. “There’s nothing to keep us apart now. You know why I came. And you’re glad I’m here.”

“What do you want?” The words slipped through my trembling lips. Would he kiss me?

“The same thing you want. What is that, baby? Say it…”

“I’ve always been weak when it came to you. My body wants your touch, but my mind is screaming that this can’t happen. I can’t go back.”

He dropped his free hand to my knee and slowly moved his fingers along the quivering flesh between our bodies. My crease throbbed and an irrefutable craving built inside of me. I knew it had always been there and he only disturbed it from the cave—uncovered it like a hidden treasure chest that I’d buried long ago. His fingers moved to the elastic of my panties, rolling the wide pad of a finger along the seam. I knew I should make him stop. He would if I asked, but for the life of me, I wanted more. I wanted him inside of me. “Do you like this, sweetheart?”

“Yessss!” I relaxed my muscles. Parts of me stirred alive. Fire lapped at my veins. I opened my knees wider, gyrating the apex of my thighs against the bulge in his jeans. Tingles moved at the pace of thick molasses through my secret parts until spasms took over. His finger continued creating havoc on the pearl nested in my pussy lips. A tremor scorched through my muscles and I squeezed my legs around his sides while deep moans slipped from my lips. I tucked my face into his shoulder as heat washed over my skin.

“Before long I will have you in my bed. Wet and pleading for me to put out the fire consuming your intoxicating body. But it won’t happen now, not until your mind and body are on the same page. I want more than a fuck.”

“That’ll never happen,” I whispered, but doubt remained. I looked at him, knowing I had no control when it came to him.

He smirked. His gaze held mine for a good three seconds, then he stood and adjusted his bulging fly. The evidence of his desire made my body tremble. My pussy lips shuddered and moisture flooded my panties, again.

“I won’t force you to do anything you don’t want. You’ll have to ask.” His confidence never wavered.

My blood boiled. “I won’t see you again.” I looked up at him, hoping he couldn’t see the feelings burrowed in my body that ached for him.

“That’s your choice. The memorial is tomorrow at six.” He strolled toward the door. “I think you’re curious enough to be there. There has to be some of the old Rena left in that prim and proper body of yours.” He brought his hand to his nose and inhaled deeply, a playful smile covering his lips.
