I finally made it to Lori Foster’s Reader and Author Get Together, and I’m having a blast! See for yourself. Have to hurry here because the conference isn’t over, so not everyone is tagged. (OMG, the baskets!) More pics on FB later.

Yes, I finally have a new book coming out! Makin’ it Right will be available to the public after March 1, 2016. Prior to that, it will be available at the Wild Wicked Weekend book signing Feb. 27th at the Menger Hotel in San Antonio, 2:30 – 5 pm. The book signing is open to the public. If you’re in the area, come on down!
More details on Makin’ It Right to follow, when edits are complete. For now…
Also lurking on the horizon, deets on 3 books that will revert to me on Feb. 18! 2016 is starting out with a bang!
I love the snow. I really do. In fact, I recently did a post on another blog site about being a transplanted west coaster, and how much I love the east coast seasons.
Yeah, that post was a couple of feet of snow ago. Not foot, feet, and more snow expected tomorrow. I live in the burbs outside of Boston, MA. The big snowfalls usually skirt us, but in two weeks time, we went from record low snowfall to record breaking high snowfall. The trains into Boston actually stopped running yesterday, and will be on an abbreviated schedule today…God only knows what will happen when more snow comes tomorrow. There is literally nowhere left to put it.
Here is my back deck after one storm dropped 2 feet of snow. That’s our covered grill and a wrought iron table in front of it.
We had to dig out a spot in front of the garage for the dog to go to the bathroom! Granted, the dog is smaller than most cats, but the blob barely sticking up behind the wall of snow? That’s a car.
Ok, here’s a shot of the same grill and table one week later! Stud has had to climb out onto our roof twice to rake snow, which scares the crap out of both of us, and we had to help our neighbor out of his driveway when he got stuck this morning. It’s still beautiful, but it’s not fun anymore.
Samantha Cayto, Frances Stockton and I are supposed to fly out to San Antonio, TX, for the Wild Wicked Weekend next week. Please keep your fingers crossed that we can get the heck out of Boston. It’s warm in San Antonio, and not a snowflake in sight.
I have the ultimate cure for you. Dare I say that at least 69 different shades of smut will be happening at the Wild Wicked Weekend, Feb 19-21, 2015 in San Antonio, TX? It’s coming up fast, and there are very few spots still available as we won’t accept more than 150 attendees.
So why should you go? The venue alone is reason enough. The WWW takes place at the historic Menger Hotel, a stone’s throw from the Alamo on one side (yes, that Texas Alamo!), and the famous San Antonio Riverwalk on the other. For those of us who live on the east coast, San Antonio also tends to be quite warm in Feb.
None of the above reasons compare to the conference itself, though. We have four hunky male model hosts dishing up ice cream, dances, massages, themed lunches and dinners, more dancing, and participating in a hilarious game called Sex Position Gumby. Yes, the name does speak for itself quite accurately. There is also an opportunity to visit a BDSM Club, and see a BDSM demonstration at the hotel.
There’s more! You can check it all out at www.WildWickedWeekend.com
But hurry! You don’t want to miss out on things like this:
The Lori Foster Get Together is one of the best conferences around, and this year’s was no exception!
Even though it didn’t officially start until Thursday, hubby and I got there on Wednesday. After checking in, we headed over to our favorite restaurant PF Changs where we talked books, then went back to the hotel and hung out. We got to sleep in the next morning, which was bliss, then did some writing before going over to IKEA, where we promptly lost ourselves in the wonders of home decor and furnishings for a couple hours. If we didn’t have dinner reservations that night, we might still be there! Yeah, we love that place!
That night it was back to PF Changs (told you it was our favorite restaurant!) for dinner with Monette Michaels, whom we met the first time we went to Lori’s and have been good friends with ever since. Dinner with her at Changs has become a tradition. After that, it was back to the hotel to regsiter and get our badges, then hang out at the meet and greet. It was the first time Lori had something on Thursday like that, and hope she does it again because it was so much fun! Hubby and I hung out with the fangirls from my Street Team – Brenda Wheeler, Janet Juengling-Snell, Cindy Overton, Kimberly Radicy-Rocha and Barb Ledbetter – as well as fellow Romance Divas Maddy Barone and Robyn Bachar, and their friends Jessica P. and Diana B., along with Kathryn M. Oh, and there was a DJ for dancing. Yay!
Surprisingly, we didn’t stay up too late that night. Mostly because we had to be up early the next day to help stuff goody bags. You get to meet lots of new people while doing it, so it’s always fun! It took most of the day, though, so we didn’t get to hang out much until dinner. Then it was time for the book signing. It’s one of the highlights of the conference because I get to meet so many people. Even recruited some new members for my Street Team! Love it! Afterward, we met Desiree Holt and her daughter in the bar, which rocked!
We slept in again on Saturday, then spent the day hanging out with everyone until crazy late that night! Man, were we tired the next day! But it was worth it!
Can’t wait until next time!
I have pictures on my FB page, so hope you’ll stop by!
