Author: Olivia Night

In a hospital in Seville, Spain, Patrick Kane lies in a coma. Ambushed and shot while protecting someone important to him, he fights to survive.

She never thought she would see him again. Patrick, the man who’d brought her back.

Eight years ago, Patrick Kane, a joint partner in Fairlane Trade International, descended into a basement of horrors. That horrible day he rescued many women, but one he would always remember. Her beautiful doe eyes filled his dreams and haunted his nightmares.

Madison Lockwood, a nurse, has struggled to put her past behind her, trying to forget the time she spent in captivity. But she recognizes the man who rescued her and brought her out of that terrifying reality. She owes him her life. Patrick is gravely injured, and Madison vows to see him through.

When Patrick opens his eyes, he instantly knows that he made a mistake leaving Madison after freeing her from the clutches of a human trafficking ring. She is meant to be his. As Patrick tries to win over a wary Madison, the past they both thought was gone for good comes back with a vengeance. One by one, the survivors of the horrific ordeal are being murdered. Patrick knows that Madison will be next if he doesn’t protect her.

Together they must fight for their survival. Seduction In Seville, book two in the Men of FTI series, is a tale of redemption, murder, new beginnings, and love that takes the reader on a wild, exotic ride.

Excerpt from Seduction in Seville, The Men of FTI Book Two

He was struggling internally, she could feel it. She knew why, and so did he.

“I’ve been on my own for a long time now.”

He tensed, his fingers flexing on her hips. Whoops, wrong thing to say.

“I know that, Madison.” She opened her mouth to speak. “You’re not anymore.”

She opened her mouth again.

“Not ever again,” he added.

He turned her then and looked down at her with determination in his eyes. Daring her to negate his statement. “Patrick—”

“I found you again. Or you found me. Whichever. But never again, Madison.”

She was silent for a beat, and then she felt her heart begin to thunder. Oh God, she was going to hyperventilate.

She shook her head and then asked the question that had been on her mind for a month. “What are you doing?” It came out a bit like an accusation. She looked up at him and watched him grind his jaw, his hands on her hips using the same rhythm.

“What am I doing?”

“What I should have done eight years ago.”

She glanced over his shoulder, thinking back to those eight years. She had woken up to her parents, and as much as she’d hated it, she’d wanted him there, too “What do you mean?”

He looked at her for more than a few seconds, his gaze searching hers, and then he just seemed to look into her. “I knew your eyes the second I opened mine,” he said as if it were some sort of explanation. Goosebumps erupted all over her arms. “I could never forget them. Ever.” Still, she said nothing. “I saw them all the time. Every day for eight years.”

She looked down. Their waists were almost touching. He had done that before. Careful not to connect them there. She leaned her lower half into him. Another first. And then he pulled her closer. She looked back up.

“I should have never walked out of that hospital, Madison.” He sounded so sure.

“Patrick…” She shook her head. “It’s okay that you did.”

“No. It’s not.” He said it with finality. “I knew it was wrong then. I just ignored what I knew or maybe thought that I couldn’t be right. That I was misidentifying the feeling. That it was inappropriate for me to have those feelings then.”

What was he talking about? “What feelings?” she asked.

But he ignored her and kept going. “You were so scared. I didn’t know you, and I wanted to take it all away. All the time you spent there. Clear it from your mind.” His gaze was now over her shoulder, staring out the window.

“And you needed me. You leaned on me, slept on me. Held my hand when we got to the hospital. I should have never left. At first, I told myself it was the right thing to do. You didn’t know me. You didn’t need me. I convinced myself that I was making it up. That what I was feeling was to make me feel better. I couldn’t save them all. I saved you. So, I told myself that this was all just me trying to take away my guilt…and that you really didn’t need me. But then, after time had passed and I saw your face more clearly…the way you had looked up at me in that basement. The way you looked at me in the Jeep. In the hospital. I knew leaving was a mistake. You did need me.”

Madison was silent through it all. His explanation, though disjointed, was perfectly clear. She continued to look up at him. She had no clue what to say, so she didn’t say anything.

“And then I realized it wasn’t just about what you needed. It was about what I needed. I needed you and to be there for you. To see you through it. And I could’ve found you, but…I didn’t. I stayed away.”

“Why?” she whispered.

He looked down at her then. “Because I knew Madison. I knew.” As if this were an entirely understandable explanation.

“You knew what, Patrick?”

He stared at her, unblinking, and then said, “That you were mine.”

69 Shades of Remodeling–Em Petrova

Everyone says New Year, New You. I think that’s bullshit, excuse my ladylike language! You don’t change because the calendar rolls over and the ball drops off a building. Besides, I don’t need to change myself, just tweak some things. Like how I prefer Hershey Kisses over roasted broccoli.

I do jump on the “get your surroundings in order” bandwagon, though. And since my divorce got rolling, I am determined to make this house totally mine in every way. Yes, that means finding some gorgeous man and having sweaty-hot animal sex in every single corner. But since that hasn’t yet happened…

I’m channeling HGTV and ripping things up. So I thought I’d share with ya’ll what I’ve been doing in my “down-time” between writing a crazy hot rodeo menage!

*involves lots of bitching and swearing, as well as a ninja yell. Must perfect the ninja yell for ripping up the massive spikes buried deep in the tack strip*

3. There was dated 90s tile on the front of these steps, so I ran to the lumber store and gave them cute smiles and batted my lashes when I asked for them to cut me some thin wood for over my risers. Sure, they charged me for it, but the flirting is always a bonus. It’s like perfecting that ninja yell–I’m getting in practice to find that guy to have hot monkey sex in every room.

4. This is the LAST time I ever paint this stairwell. It was a m*therf*cker. No, I didn’t use scaffolding or weird ladder systems you buy at 3 am off a TV infomercial. I used a 20 ft long pole purchased at Lowes and a corner paint pad and a roller. If you do this, plan on never doing it again.

The result! It looks bright and like a stairway to heaven. Or just a clean spot before the boys put their grubby hands all over it.

And finally, I painted one tread to see how I like it. I do! Now to find the time to finish…

I *did* finish my sexy-hot rodeo menage though! Read on for a little peek…

“Oh fuck no.”

Quint looked up to see Carter beside him, his face mottled red with fury. Following Carter’s gaze, he felt his throat close around the beer he’d just swallowed. A violent cough erupted from him as he set eyes on Bella right at the head of the line.

In skin-tight jeans and a plaid top knotted at her midriff, she was striking. Add that sliver of tanned belly and a hint of cleavage and she was walking sex.

And she was about to compete. Every man in the joint would be drooling over her, but that couldn’t happen. Quint didn’t have enough stamina to beat the shit out of every man here.

I’ll give it the old cowboy try, though.

He set his beer on a table behind him and folded his arms across his chest. Carter issued a low growl. “Dammit, this can’t end well,” his friend said.

No, it would end very well, with Bella riding the bull with all the sex appeal of an exotic dancer. Which of course was the real problem. She was targeted enough without exploiting herself.

When she tossed her hair, laughing, Quint narrowed his eyes at her. She was a little too flushed, her eyes a little too bright.

“Is she drunk?”

“Tipsy, I’d say. Son of a bitch.” Carter’s jaw muscle worked as he looked on.

The muscles all the way down Quint’s spine tightened. If Bella wasn’t a hundred-percent in possession of her wits, she’d be hit on by more creeps than he’d be able to fend off.

But Carter looked more than willing to take on a few.

“Our first rider is Miss Bella Roberts! This championship barrel racer has been known to ride a bull or two in her lifetime. Ready, Bella?”

She nodded, her hair tumbling around her shoulders. When she raised a hand to wave at the crowd gathered around the bull, her top pulled tight across her breasts, revealing a small opening big enough for Quint to slip his finger inside.

His cock hardened at the thought of all that warmth radiating off her skin. He tried to catch her eyes, but she wasn’t paying attention to anything but the bull. With a sexy flip of her leg, she straddled the beast.

“Fucking hell,” Carter groaned.

I know the feeling. Quint’s jeans were suddenly two sizes too small. His balls started to throb.

When she wiggled her fine little ass to situate herself on the back, Quint felt his eyes roll back in his head. If he looked around, he’d see every man in the same state. Well, except maybe Asher, who was married with two kids. But a man would have to be dead not to notice Bella.

She shimmied down toward the neck, which pointed sharply to the floor. Around the bull a bunch of foam cubes would cushion her fall, but he’d seen her ride a flesh and blood, pissed-off bull. She’d have to be a lot drunker to land in the foam.

The music started with the first whip of the bull. It swung backward, she compensated with one arm waving in the air. Her breasts pushed out. Her fucking thighs gripping the sides like a champion.

Quint’s need compounded, and he found himself grinding his teeth. The bull started whipping her, and Bella kept her seat, rocking up and down. Hell, an eighty-year-old woman would look sexy on a mechanical bull. The action was sexy as hell. But since it was Bella, every man—and probably a few women—were riveted on her.

Carter nudged his fly, adjusting his own boner. Fuck, this was bad. Real bad.

Quint’s vocal chords ached to yell for the charade to stop, but Bella rode out her full eight seconds. Ten. Twelve.

“Time’s up!” he hollered.

Someone elbowed him in the back. “Hey, buddy, don’t make them stop her.”

He turned to glare at the guy but had no idea which man in the sea of faces had struck him. Twisting back around, he welcomed the blare of the buzzer. Bella’s hair trickled into her eyes, and she tossed it back like a fucking porn star.

To dismount, she lay back on the bull and made a show of rolling into the foam. A half dozen men rushed forward to offer her a hand up, but Quint and Carter were there first, hauling her bodily out of the foam pit and dragging her several feet away.

She focused on Quint and then Carter. “You guys better keep your distance.”

It was on the tip of his tongue to ask why, but then the buzzer sounded and another woman was in the spotlight. She didn’t ooze sex appeal like Bella or even stay on very long. When she was tossed into the foam, only one man was there to pick her up. Another took her place.

“How’d I do, boys?” Bella had another drink in her hand. Where had she gotten it?

Quint’s protective instincts were suddenly a wild animal, pacing back and forth in front of her. He stared down a man, daring him to try anything. When he glanced over at Carter, he saw him standing bodyguard too.

At least he had backup. The strangeness of the situation hit him—they both wanted Bella but in protecting her, they were a solid wall no one could breach. That familiar sense of camaraderie flooded Quint.

Christmas! Vegas-style–Em Petrova

I’m not really a big fan of early Christmas displays. Like most, I get annoyed with sifting through Christmas decorations in the store to get to the Halloween costumes. But this year I’m going through a divorce (yawn) and reinventing myself. I’m looking at Christmas in a whole new light–twinkle lights, that is!

What’s better than twinkle lights and mistletoe? How about cowboys, a dirt arena and all the Christmas you can handle—Vegas-style?

With my latest cowboy book, A Cowboy for Christmas, I wanted to bring Vegas and the National Finals Rodeo right to your living room (or office, break room or bed—ooooh la).

Dusty Waite is trying to become a legend just like his father and brother before him by winning the title–and the big gold buckle–for bronc riding. He’s got the grit and the numbers on the scoreboard—at least he did until his plans are derailed by one little vixen named Avalee Byrd.

Avalee is happy to work with the new face of Rawhide foods, Dusty Waite. But soon she realizes she’s in over her head with this celebrity cowboy. Actually, her boots might be over her head, but that’s something you can read about–ahem–later.

I was so excited for you to read my book that I actually bumped up the release date a whole WEEK. So on November 21, you can have Dusty in your Kindle! After all, a cowboy can’t do anything naughty if he’s just sitting on the hard drive. Read on for a sneak peek of the steaming hot chemistry between Avalee and Dusty!

The minute Avalee spotted the dark brown cattleman-style hat, she craned to see the man wearing it. He stood off to the side of the arena, shifting from boot to boot.

Nerves. And no wonder. He was about to climb onto the back of a horse that’s job was to buck him onto his ass. Or head. Bronc riding was dangerous business, and Dusty had a lot on the line.

His name was announced. He gave his hands a fast flick as if dispensing the nerves through his fingertips. Avalee strained harder to see, wanting a glimpse of his face. This was an important moment in his life, and she wanted to witness the feelings that came with it.

Turned out she didn’t need to. She looked up at the big screen and there he was—the Everest of men. Coal-black beard that gave her very dirty thoughts of how it would feel as he dragged his jaw up her inner thigh to her soaking center.

Shuddering, she clasped her hands. At that moment, he looked up into the camera and gave a devilish wink and a crooked grin guaranteed to steal every woman’s heart in the arena—and more than a few men’s too.

He hooked a leg over the yellow bars corralling the horse he was about to ride.

“Dusty Waite is on Luck’s Side. His time to beat is 76. Dusty’s at the top of his game and is on track to follow in his father’s and brother’s footsteps,” the announcer called.

Avalee’s heart beat in her throat as she watched him adjust his grip, rope looped around his hand in a way that seemed more dangerous if he were to be thrown off. She scooted to the edge of her seat.

“This is the horse everybody wants to ride, folks. If he gets this horse during the finals, there’s no doubt he will win it all. I didn’t say ‘can win it all’. I said will.

The horse jostled the sides of the pen. Dusty shoved his hat down farther and gave a nod.

Avalee leaped to her feet as the horse rushed out kicking. The crowd cheered. More people around her stood too, but her gaze was riveted on the man being flung about in the saddle. The animal whirled and kicked. Five times…six. She lost count.

Dusty’s arm flailed in perfect counterbalance to the horse’s wild movements. The buzzer sounded and then he leaped out of the saddle and landed on his feet. When he tossed his hat into the air, the crowd went nuts.

Avalee bounced with the rest of the crowd, caught in the moment. The rush of seeing Dusty’s strong body, so in control…

He did a double-fist punch into the air, and grinned just as the camera zoomed in on his handsome face. He seemed to be looking in another direction. She moved her attention from the big screen to look at the real deal in the arena.

A shiver ran down her spine and raised the hairs on her arms. He seemed to be…no. He wouldn’t be looking at her.

Still, it looked as though… She raised a hand and waved. Immediately he waved back.

Heart racing, she plopped into her seat again. How had he picked her out of the crowd? She was sitting with the wives and girlfriends—and she was sure one woman was an exotic dancer or maybe even a prostitute. She had no idea how Dusty noticed her in this crush of fans and chaos.

She watched him swagger all the way back to the sidelines. He vanished through a door, and she found herself on her feet, apologizing her way out of the row. She took the steps quickly, down, down. And started searching the shadows for where he may have disappeared.

An arm snagged her around the middle. She opened her mouth to scream, but the breath was punched from her lungs as her chest struck a wall of flesh. Black eyes flitted into her vision a split second before a hard mouth crushed over hers.

Her body reacted to Dusty’s scent, his flavors. She had no control over her arms that looped around his neck or her fingers that gripped his shoulder. His rough knuckle beneath her chin tipped her head to the side, angling her for the first plunge of his tongue.

A ragged cry left her as he swept the interior of her mouth. He wrapped an arm around her, hitching her fully against his big body. He smelled of leather, horse and man. Still in his chaps, his erection seemed pronounced between the cutout, but she realized that was all Dusty. Pure virile male.

The Old West Gets a Makeover–Em Petrova

Hello, friends! I’m happy to be here on the 69 Shades blog today. I’ve been deep in a divorce with four kiddos as well as my newest cowboy novella set to release for the holiday season, so coming here feels like a little break.

A lot of changes are taking place in my life and in my home. I’m giving everything a makeover, so why not the first cowboy books I ever wrote? Have you met the Hollis Boys? If you’ve been one of my readers since early in my career, you might have! This book is a boxed set of 3 historical westerns originally published with Loose Id. Here’s a little blurb…

In the Old West, cowboys ride free and love just as freely. The Hollis boys do what they want–on their own terms.

Xander is deemed an outlaw when he starts robbing from the rich railroad and giving back to the poor people of Texas. With the help of his smoldering sidekick James, they dig themselves deep in the trenches of trouble and find love with the railroad owner’s daughter, Annabelle in OUTLAWS OF LOVE.

Graham, a dark, tormented ex-soldier for the South, secretly weds a sweet country girl and invites the ire of a plotting ranch hand, as well as some ghosts from his past, in TRAIL OF LUST.

In WILD, WILD HEARTS, Nolan possesses a deep secret. Is losing his family worth standing up for what he wants?

Yes, it’s true, folks. I’m known for cowboy romance, but I started in historical westerns. It wasn’t long before my muse sent me toward contemporary cowboys, but these men were the first rope-waving, gun-slinging hotties I fell in love with. Psst–I have a special soft spot for Graham!

Grab SINFUL HEARTS releasing on Thursday Oct 22!  ONE-CLICK now to get in your Kindle! Only on Amazon.

And don’t forget to check out my other pre-orders and new releases!

Thanks for stopping by today and giving me a little reprieve from the everyday. Find me at these links below 🙂

A little about Cowboy Bargain:

Five brides for five brothers…at least that’s the deal the Daltons have struck with their boys. Each son must marry in order to inherit a piece of the ranch they love so much.

When the new ranch hand the Daltons hire asks Cash for assistance, he’s all in—until he learns it involves a Mexican daughter and a marriage license. His first instinct is to run the other direction. But he figures he needs a wife and she needs help, so it’s a damn good bargain.

Maya Perez is desperate to get out of her home city and into the States, where she can make a better life. When her only living family member, her father, sends for her to come to Texas, she’s met by a gorgeous cowboy and an offer of marriage.

Cash figures being hitched to a woman is no different than taking care of cattle, but his bride is driving him crazy. Between her sharp tongue and soft curves, he’s over his head. Finding common ground might be the only way to tame his little bride.

Better Late Than Never–Em Petrova

Hello Dear Friends! It’s the 4th of July here in the US and I celebrated with a family party. I’m just sitting down to write this blog post (yes, better late than never).

While I’ve procrastinated in the writing of this post, I’ve actually thought a lot about what I’d write. What I’ll share with you today is…

The Writing Process

Other authors and readers always ask about my writing process. They want to know if I light some incense and perform a ritual. If I watch p*rn. Do I wear house slippers? Is it the stroke of midnight when I type my first word of the day?

I also get asked–do I plot? Where do my characters come from, and so much more. I’ll try to share a little of this today, but feel free to ask questions if I leave out anything!

1. A spark–I might hear a word, see a photo or a moment in time, and that’s the spark. A whole book can web from 1 tiny second. Or I might have to work harder to unearth the entire tale.

2. The characters–some are very apparent to me. Stowe, the Dom from Down Under, in my next Boot Knockers Ranch book, ROPE BURN, was crystal clear and strong in my mind from the very beginning. Other characters I fight to get to know because they are stubborn asses. Kade Dalton is that man. I argued with him in the shower, in the car, and while watching TV. Finally, he broke down and I got to know him, but I really had to grill him.

For me, characters are the biggest part of the process. As soon as they break down, I know what their stories are. All the plot twists and conflicts fall into place in my head.

3. Come late to the party and leave early–This motto very much applies to writing as much as real life. Jump late into the scene, leave the reader gagging for more. I try to adhere to this idea, but often it happens organically. I don’t need to go back and cut beginnings and endings.

4. Inspiration–Books, movies, music, visuals. Ohhhh myyyy, the visuals! You know what I’m talking about!

(photo purchased from Hot Damn Stock. Please don’t copy)

5. Sitting down–I don’t wear a bathrobe but I do wear a beanie. My daughter calls it my writing beanie, and she knows when I’m wearing it to tread with caution and do not interrupt! However, the beanie isn’t a red flag to my sons, who parade through my office every 2 minutes with some problem/conflict/hunger pang/disease/cut/question. Thus…

6. When I write–I always got the kids on the bus and wrote in the mornings. In summers, the rule was you’re on your own until lunch, when I’ll stop and pay attention to you. But now that they’re older, the 4 kiddos are more helpless. So I was getting 0 words written. The only solution is to write when the lovely little angels are asleep, which means at 11 pm, I’m wearing my beanie.

7. A plot–I know what I’m writing for the whole book. If not the whole book, for that day. Often I write a synopsis as a guide, but I don’t freak out if I don’t stick to it. The best part of the process is letting characters hijack their story. This is a teaser from one scene where that happened with COWBOY RUSH, Kade’s story.

8. Good earbuds are a must–I prefer these cheap Memorex ones. They stay in my ears and have good sound.

9. Random parts of writing process–

Coffee–a must, black please

Bedtime toast for my Labradoodle–Daisy stares at me until I go get her a piece of buttery toast. Then she has to go out, come in, go out, and she’ll need a drink. Only then should I bother hitting the keys!

(get me toast!)

There you have it–all the glamor, folks! If you pictured me sitting on a yacht in the South Seas, you’re just a pinch off. But I do love the silence of the house at night and a good Vance Joy album. And if I need outside inspiration, all I need is a trip to the country store to see hot construction workers, loggers and plenty of sexy men in cowboy hats  driving trucks.

Thank you all for stopping by and reading my post this beautiful July 4th!

Fallen Angel: A Mafia Romance Part 5

A Roman Crime Family Novel

‪#‎short ‪#‎alphamale ‪#‎light ‪#‎bdsm ‪#‎dominance ‪#‎mafiaromance ‪#‎erotic #romance

Alisa Anderson & Cameron Skye

“Fallen Angel is a dark, tasty appetizer with echoes of “The Sopranos.” It’s like picking up a Lindt truffle on your way out of the store. There’s just enough to wake up your taste buds, or in this case, other parts due South.” – Margo’s Red Light District

“Gritty, sexy and with a strong but vulnerable female lead. Fallen Angel is a surprisingly good read.” – Ingrid Hall

“Is Jess going to get sucked into a world with Nick that will destroy her or will she bring Nick to the other side and they find happy ever after? I will be grabbing the next book soon. I need to know more about this story and what the future holds.” – TBird, Crystals Many Reviews

“Fallen Angel is a quick and sexy read. I hope to get the chance to read the next installment. I want to know more about Nick and the dangerous games he’s playing. – Angela, Crystals Many Reviews.”

Some events in this series are based on events from author, Cameron Skye’s life. Where does fiction meet reality? You decide.

Fallen Angel is a mafia romance serial novel released every 4 to 6 weeks, at approximately 8000 to 11000 words each. Due to sexual content, implied and actual scenes of abuse, violence, organized crime, language and frequent illegal drug use, we recommend this to mature audiences, ages 18 and over, who are comfortable with this subject matter.

Baby girl’s taking a ride

As past, present and future collide

Riding loose, living rough

Wondering when it’s finally enough

Baby boy wants to rescue her from it all

He loves her hard…doesn’t wanna see her fall

He wants to take her away, from all of the pain

From the nightmares begging to leave their stain

But some nightmares…won’t go away

Some find ways…to make you pay

But through darkness and screams you can find the light

It’s just sometimes you do a little dirt…to make it thru the night.

Excerpt from Fallen Angel Book 5:

Reaching the top of the stairs, he asked the rest of the girls to leave the room. She was sitting in front of the mirror, putting on blood red lipstick. Catching his reflection in the mirror, her eyes filled. She got up to hug him.

“How you been, bambino?”

Jess giggled. She always giggled when he called her bambino.

“I’ve been perfect.”

“Perfect, my ass. Have you eaten anything since we left Miami?”

“I’ve eaten.”
“Liar. Jess, you need to stop the coke, this is out of control. You’re getting too fucking thin.”
“Oh, Angel.” She sighed. “One can never be too thin. Model, walking hanger, remember?”
“Fuck being a hanger. I could give a rat’s ass less if you’re a model or not. Come on, you’re going to eat something.”

“I’m honestly not hungry. Besides, Nick’s here isn’t he?”

“I’m not playing whatever the fuck game is going on between you two. I’m so over the both of you. Come with me now, or I will pick your skinny ass up and carry you directly to him.”
She knew she wasn’t going to win this round, following him to the bar. Going behind, he pulled up a bag. Taking out a bowl of strawberries.

“How did you know I love strawberries?”

“It’s part of my job to know you, Jess.”

“Scary job, huh?” She sighed heavily.

“Nah. I’ve grown to love your crazy ass.” He softly touched her cheek, smiling at her with so much care and affection. He truly was her knight in shining armor.

She smiled back at him, but her smile was short lived.

“Angel?” Nicks voice bellowed from the background.

“At the bar. You need to see this.”
“Don’t you fucking dare call him.” She pleaded, almost becoming hysterical.

“Not playing the game remember, dearest?”

Nick came around the corner. Stopping when he saw her.
She was nothing but skin and bones. You could count her ribs and see her spine running down her back. His throat squeezed shut, not only because of how she looked, but at the fact she was no longer his.

He missed her, craved her….loved her.

And wanted to beat her ass for how she had let herself get this way.

“Look at me.”

She refused.

“I said look at me.”
She turned, her eyes fixed on his face. Crossing her arms over her chest defensively. She tried to hide them under make-up, but he could see the dark purple circles under her eyes. Her face gaunt from the amount of weight she’d lost.

“Jesus, Jess.” Nick’s voice a hoarse whisper. Filled with hurt and concern.

Every emotion she tried to kill for the past four weeks, came back in at once. Hitting her so quickly she felt she couldn’t breathe from her lungs seizing up.
Her heart physically hurt, breaking at the sight of him.

She started trembling, trying her damndest not to cry.

“You aren’t working. Carry her to my office.”

“You don’t get to order me around anymore remember?”

“How could I forget that fact, Jess. But the fact this is my club and I’m your boss, overrules any boyfriend, girlfriend bullshit. You’ll do as I say, and I said you aren’t working. There’s no debate on the subject. Angel, pick her up.”

Authors Bios:

Alisa Anderson

well…alisa did stuff and is still doing stuff. only now she has two boys crazy enuff to want her as their mommy. hey, at least she tried to warn them, so her job is done. she doesn’t like to capitalize, partially because she likes how lower case letters look visually, but mostly out of laziness. please don’t judge. it could be you. and she would say, hey. you’re alright, buddy. you’re ok in my book. now c’mere for a hug. the hug might be pushing it. air kiss? you are strangers, after all, with only a mutual love of poor grammar.

she lives for a world full of controllable anatomically correct, android men programmed to meet her specific feminine needs (wink, wink, nudge, nudge with a big waggle of the eyebrows). who look like the rock. and ian somerhalder. and idris elba. and that’s it she promises. variety. gotta have variety, right?

but alas…apparently that exists only in johanna lindsey’s genius mind. so until then, she enjoys her incredibly warped sense of humor. she reads tons of erotica and romantic, drippy goo that makes her heart go pitter patter. then she thought, hey. what, she said to herself. (softly, of course, so no one finds out she is indeed, 2 nuts short of a fruitcake) maybe you should write this stuff too. maybe someone will like it and maybe buy it. so she said, huh, you think? then she said, well…yeah, i wouldn’t have suggested it…(inserts sarcastic tone) and then she was like lose the attitude, ok? then she was all, would you just shut up and write, already? sheesh! and she did. 🙂

Cameron Skye

When Cameron is not in the lab working toward a Ph.D., in Neuropsychopharmacology, which in laymen’s terms is basically finding the effects drugs have on mood and behavior, she is writing stories, crating vivid, intense characters you will never forget.

She believes while life can take you down every path but the right one, eventually everyone will find their happily ever after.
