RAISE A GLASS- Talina Perkins

index

2015 was crazy in just a few words. With only a few hours left in the year it’s hard not to take a moment and reflect on what has passed, but also look forward to what is in store for you and myself as the clock rolls over. I’ve never been a big believer in new years resolutions, but I do think that a mental reset is always a good thing. A fresh start, a chance at starting over, and a full 365 days of making sure this year is better! It’s exciting to think about, right? There are a lot of plans in motion for me and I’m biting my nails to keep from pouring everything out on the page right now! Since I have to be a good girl, let’s talk about what you have planned for the new year. I’d love to hear anything you want to share. 🙂

Wherever the new year finds you, may your wishes and dreams come true! Happy New Years my friends and thank you for hanging out with me and inviting me into your hearts with my stories and characters. I have so many more to tell and I can’t wait to share them with you soon. I’ll be back on January 4th with a special post and maybe a giveaway. 😉

Be safe, raise a glass, and welcome the turn of the clock with a smile and a wink!

GIVEAWAY! Rhonda Lee Carver

I woke up this morning with a holiday hangover. Don’t get me wrong, I love Christmas. I love what it stands for and the reason for the season. Yet, just like most people, I end up spending too much, wrap everything perfectly, fret over what I bought and during one hour on Christmas morning the months of planning and tolerating busy stores can be summed up in a cluttered livingroom.

And somehow, the smiles from my girls makes everything, well, right.

I received some awesome presents, however, the one that I really love is fabulous…and it didn’t cost a thing. My wee one made a large gift box (out of a cardboard box) and she painted it. I wanted to share the ‘masterpiece’ not because it’s the next Picasso (well, one never knows :)) but these are the simple things that keep me zeroed in on the importance of what matters in life.

Tomorrow is release day for Ring In A Cowboy! I worked with a great group of authors who have the same love of a cowboy as I do. We wanted to bring you 9 memorable stories that will warm you from the inside out. And because I know that a lot of you have holiday hangover too, I’m going to give away 5 e-copies of Ring In A Cowboy. To enter just comment below and I’ll randomly pick 5 winners at 9 PM 12/27.  Good luck!!!!

Here’s a sneak peek…

13

The sunlight billowed in from the window onto Charlie’s beautiful naked body. She was lovely, her pale skin still glowing from what they’d shared last night.

She shifted and he picked up his guitar, thrumming his fingers along the strings lightly. Since he’d woke up that morning, he’d wanted to do something for her. Now he could.

He continued to play until her eyes fluttered open and a smile spread her lovely lips. “Hi,” she said, dragging the sheet over her.

“Hi.” He winked. “Did I wake you?”

She nodded. “The music did.” Her smile grew, reaching her dazzling eyes. “I thought I was dreaming.”

“Good. I want to play a song for you. It’s not quite finished, but a couple of lines have been playing through my head since I met you.”

“Really?” Her cheeks turned a pale pink. “Must be the atmosphere.”

“Must be a pretty lady who makes my heart sing. Now here it goes…”

“One look and I was forever changed.

An angel descended and touched my hand

She opened my eyes

To something I never knew

I have to believe I’m enough in Charlie’s eyes

No words can describe how I feel

Yet this touch tells a story

Open up and lay all your worries on these broad shoulders

Just say you will and I’ll hold you close…”

He stilled his fingers on the strings of the guitar. “That’s a sneak peek. What do you think?” he asked. She lowered her head, her shoulders jerking. Was she crying? “Charlie?”

She lifted her chin. Tears stains marred her cheeks. “That was…that was…” she hiccupped.

“Bad?”

“No. How could you think that? It’s beautiful. That’s for me?” She sniffled loudly.

He grinned. “Being that the only other Charlie I know is a two hundred pound wrestler with a long scraggly beard, yes, the song’s about you.” He winked.

After Christmas #Sale by @AnitaPhilmar

BlackDragonboxset

This is the complete set for the price of one book $2.99.

1st Book – Black Dragon’s Blood

Amanda Spencer has spent years searching for clues to her first husband’s murder. Now, she is close, too close to let William VanHorn get in the way. He wants to claim her as his wife, but she doesn’t have time to satisfy the man’s needs. She wants answers, not sex.

Set on fire by Amanda, William won’t let the lady escape. If she wants answers, he’ll get them. As head of the Dragon Center, he has connections and nothing will stop him from capturing her heart.

Excerpt:

William blocked her path before she could take more than two additional steps; a gift of his blood to be able to react so quickly.

Her curse was to smell his heat, to know his need, to want him inside her, making her blood boil. Luckily, the human part of her nature controlled her actions, reminded her of past heartache.

“A woman with your level of dragon blood needs a man, needs to have his children.” His strong hand circled her forearm. She sensed the heavy pulse of his blood beating against her tender skin.

“Not a possibility, William, even if I did agree to marry you.” She tugged her arm from his grasp. “I’ve been married twice. In neither case did I have a child. With you, it would be no different.”

His eyes narrowed to slits. “Are you telling me you’re unable to bear children?”

“You’re an intelligent man, William. What do you think?”

“Your father didn’t tell me this.”

“Yes, well, why would he? It would have been counterproductive to his plan, wouldn’t it?” The angry tightening of his jaw told Amanda she’d gained her freedom.

Stepping around him, she slid the door open on the metal railing and stood for a moment staring at his back. Other more pressing business required her attention. If she was lucky, she could get home, pack and get out of town before William picked up her trail again.

“Good luck finding some other lady to meet your needs, William.”

Book 2 – Black Dragon’s Moon

Dragon Center agent, Dee Butterfield, finally has the job she’s always longed for. On her first assignment, her job is to protect sculptor, Scott VanHorn. His rich dragon blood tempts her into an affair that could not only jeopardize her career but possibly her life.

Determined to find out who killed his best friend, Scott poses as a struggling artist to help the Dragon Center investigate a corrupt art dealer. He has ulterior motives for requesting Dee as his protector, getting her in his bed not the least of them. However, Scott soon realizes his mistake.

When the mission becomes more dangerous than either of them anticipate, Scott’s black dragon blood stirs to protect Dee while hers calls for retribution.

Excerpt:

“It doesn’t matter you’re not looking at me as a potential mate. We’re only here to have a little fun.”

His dark eyes narrowed to small slits. “The terms of engagement?”

She stepped closer. Her silk covered breasts brushed against his broad chest. The sexy purr of the fabric whispered between them. “I’ll be honest I want to make love to you. But I’m not interested in anything more serious.”

“No ties,” His burning gaze ran over her face. Hot hands gripped her hips, “is that it?”

“You got it. I want to keep my job as a Dragon Center agent. That can’t happen if I get married.”

His eyes shifted to her mouth, hunger flared in their darkness. A swipe of his tongue moistened his lips. The hands on her hips slid over her backside, pressing her into his rock-hard erection. She shivered.

“We’re only going to have a little fun.” Her hands worked their way around his neck. “Agreed?”

He moved his lips within a breath of hers before he responded. “No.”

His mouth claimed hers. –

Book 3 – Black Dragon’s Heart

Devoted chemist, Sarah VanHorn, lives for her research but fantasizes about loving Jake Ramsey. Her two worlds collide when the dragon center agent arrives to rescue her from the company suspected of producing chemicals dangerous to those with dragon blood.

Sarah’s not the only one with fantasies. Jake wants Sarah as his mate and he’s waited years to claim her. Now, under his protective custody—not to mention the influence of Syndetic’s sexual stimulant scenting the air—he can’t resist the fiery temptation to finally make her his.

But when tragedy strikes and their dreams are threatened, will Sarah sacrifice her career, Jake, and possibly her life to discover the answers? And will Jake let her?

Excerpt

The plan of waiting until after the final security check of the night before making his appearance raced through his mind. He couldn’t afford for any of the guards to overhear their conversation.

Had he over simplified things?

Before he determined his course of action, Sarah hit the magnetic mechanism of her dress. Her lush breasts fell forward, free from the confines of the material. She slid the garment off her shoulders and cupped her breasts, holding them in her delicate hands like a gift.

Jake almost swallowed his tongue. Desire pooled in his loins.

She exited his line of sight, and he took a silent breath to replace the one he’d been holding. The sweet scent of apple blossoms filled his lungs.

Dragon dung. He’d forgotten how an innocent woman smelled like pure paradise.

The blankets on her bed shifted. A rustling sound echoed through the room. He imagined her removing the rest of her clothes. A tick later, he caught a brief glimpse of her in a red robe, and then she stepped into the wash room.

The click of the door closing allowed him the freedom to shift his position. He cursed the dragon blood running through his veins. He normally redirected his lust without a problem, but with his current dry spell, Sarah’s scent slammed him against the limits of his self-control.

But she’d be under the blankets soon. A few deep breaths later, he relaxed and centered his mind on the strategy for their upcoming escape.

The door to the washroom whispered opened.

Her shadow passed directly in front of the screen, and then she slid into bed and the lights dimmed.

Her form shifted under the blanket. In a few moments, the guard would lock the outside bolt.

Then he’d explain his mission.

Grab Yer Batteries! Em Petrova’s Final Boot Knocker is Here!

It’s true, the final book of the Boot Knockers Ranch series is here, and Number 6 is one that,, if you follow the series, you’ve been waiting for.

Booker’s story.

Yes, the toy king. A cowboy on a sex ranch who has a toy fetish so large that the collection takes up a whole closet. And boy, is he protective of his goods. Over the years, the other Boot Knockers have broken in and stolen his toys. They’ve undergone a covert operation to remove every battery from the hundreds of vibrating things lining the shelves. And they’ve even strung them on rope from the ceiling in the dining hall.

So you can imagine that Booker’s a little hotheaded when it comes to things that belong to him–and his ex is no exception.

CowboyNotIncluded300

She never expected to feel the vibrations all the way to her broken heartstrings.

The Boot Knockers Ranch, Book 6

Diapers and baby food are uppermost in Skye Blackwood’s mind—at least until she’s alone at night. Two years is a long time, and her toy collection isn’t all that satisfying. Especially since her battery-operated lovers came from Booker, her ex.

Everyone said they married too young, and they were right. He could be a bigger part of their daughter’s life, though, so she tracks him down—and is shocked to discover he’s working at a Texas sex therapy ranch. She reserves a week of something tall, dark, and cowboy for herself, planning to use her down time to talk to Booker.

When Skye steps onto the Boot Knockers stage, Booker doesn’t hesitate to pull the plug. A giant misunderstanding may have ended things between them, but no way is he letting another cowboy into her bed.

Once alone, their animal attraction flares back to life. But time hasn’t healed the emotional wounds that still run deep. And renewing their old bond could be the biggest mistake they ever made…

Warning: Contains smoking-hot sex scenes with toys, without toys, with an extra partner, and just one-on-one. Suitable for beginner, intermediate, and advanced cowboy lovers. Sorry, you’ll have to supply your own batteries. Better buy a case. Oh, hell, just buy stock in the company.

Book Blurb

Sometimes the line between good and bad simply depends which side you’re on…

Good guys can have unsavory secrets, while so-called criminals can live by a code of ethics rivaling that of any law enforcement agency. Bending the law for money, power, or revenge is one thing, but what if you’re bending it for your family—for love?

Who would choose to become involved with a man who walks on the dark side…

Some men will go to any lengths, legal or not, and make no apologies to protect their way of life and all they hold dear. But you don’t always choose who you love, and sometimes you just have to decide if you’re bold enough to risk it all and go along for the ride.

Thirteen masterful authors come together to present Men of Mayhem.

Compelling stories of loyalty and passion, love and lust, in which the moral and ethical lines are blurred, and call into question the notions of right and wrong.

What could be more exciting than taking a leap of faith…and landing in the arms of the last man you’d expect—but the only one who truly makes you feel alive?

What if your road to happiness leads to…

Smoke.Fire.Cowboy–Rhonda Lee Carver

I love this season. Love the lights twinkling from the rooftops. The smell of peppermint, hot cocoa and the promise of snowfall. The magic lingering in a child’s mind…Is Santa real or not? Festive music playing as we wrap the presents. Spreading good cheer and holiday spirit. These are just some of the things I look forward to during Christmas.

But with the sweet comes the sour.

Life is hectic for everyone during the holidays. Every store is filled with madness. People rushing to make deadlines before December 25th. The cool slips in dulling the joy we should be feeling. BAH HUMBUG!

There’s a solution. Read. And read more. And when you thought you’ve had enough, read, ReAd, READ!

I am finishing up the last minute details of Book 3 of Cowboys of Nirvana…Smoke. Fire. Cowboy. Couldn’t everyone use a sexy hero wearing a white hat and worn boots. Take a a vacation, visit Nirvana, a place where love is in the air and peace is in the heart. Here he is…Jared.

Smoke.Fire. Cowboy

Here’s an unedited excerpt:

“Yes, baby. Yes! You know I like it when you’re dirty.”

Luther’s ragged, throaty voice sent goosebumps scattering across Sofie’s trembling skin. She quivered under his perfectly manicured hands that braced her bare shoulders against the polished, mahogany desk top. His scent drifted under her nose and she inhaled deeply. He wasn’t wearing the expensive cologne she bought him for his birthday. Was he wearing Jasmine…?

“Sofie,” he whispered next to her ear. His fingers touched her knee, taking a slow, heated trail along her inner thigh, closer to the part of her that dripped wet with need. After seven years together, she still wanted her husband—still craved having him inside of her.

Being here, in his office, naked, and sprawled across his financial reports made her adrenaline pump faster. He always stirred her naughty side, awakening her inner temptress. The fear of being caught was at the forefront of her mind, but the risk made the act more delicious. Who could fault her for wanting to please her man? He liked taking things to the very edge—in business and in pleasure.

The tension in her muscles turned to an achy desire, pounding through her in waves, one after enchanting one. Need built like a raging inferno in her core, throbbing in her most sensitive part, sending her down a path of mindless yearning. Her whimper fell off her lips and she clung to him, pulling him in urgency. Lifting her knees higher, she spread them wide, barely registering that she’d knocked something off onto the sixteeth-century Cairene rug.  A stapler maybe? Hopefully not the cup of coffee. She stretched her neck to look past his shoulder, relief spread over her when she saw the cup on the corner, undisturbed. She knew how much he loved the antique rug.

Cowboy Paradise         Ropin’ Trouble

Also, who loves a good holiday story? Better yet, who loves a bundle of holiday stories?

Excerpt of A New Year’s Cowboy:

Charlie bit her bottom lip as Storm stepped into the small space of the bathroom. She was determined not to drop her gaze over his body or let it affect her when his arm brushed hers, the crisp, short hairs on his skin erupting tingles on her flesh. Warmth bled through her shoulders. And she definitely didn’t allow herself to think about why her nipples bunched and tingled. It’d been a long time since she’d experienced that feeling. So long that she could barely breathe. Turning to face the sink, pretending interest in looking through the first aid kit, she sucked in air. Lifting her chin, she saw his reflection and couldn’t deny herself a peek at his profile. He’d removed his hat and his longish, blonde hair laid in waves over his head. His eyes were deep and his prominent jaw was covered in dark stubble. She roved her eyes lower—to wide shoulders that stretched the black cotton, massive biceps, slender waist and large silver belt buckle down to…

Stop right there!

She wouldn’t allow herself to inspect his crotch. Nope. No way. Not going to happen.

Breathing in slowly, feeling somewhat in control, she turned and their knees touched. Why had she suggested mending him here and not in the spacious kitchen?

Heat came alive in the pit of her stomach and lowered, settling in her secret spot—a place she’d called off limits for years now. Here in the town of Palms, Tennessee, they didn’t see very many strangers, especially this good looking. In the town of four hundred people, everyone knew everyone and once in a while they got a stray vehicle lost off the interstate.

Sex, Lies, and Joysticks – Lynn Chantale

Happy Thursday! With Christmas just around the corner, here’s a book to keep you warm on those cold winter’s night.

10575216_882149851800045_3502006899640415161_o

For the first time in a long time, Randa Arnold is happy beyond measure. She has the love of her husband, Linc and her paramour Matteo. After the fulfillment of a mutual sex fantasy and an unbelievable night of passion her world is turned upside down.

Lincoln never expected his wife to fall in love with another man, even though he knew that was a possibility. He loves his wife, but just can’t wrap his mind around her emotionally attached to someone else, so he does the only thing he can, he forces Matteo to leave.

Forcing Matteo to leave has some unexpected consequences. Randa is despondent, yet keeps a brave face. This only intensifies Linc’s sense of guilt. If that weren’t enough, someone is threatening his wife. His only chance at redemption and to get to the bottom of the threat is to bring Matteo back. Only one problem, the man can’t be found.

Excerpt

The woman shifted, bringing her knees together. Before they closed completely, her partner wedged his elbow to keep her open and exposed. He turned then and, even from that distance, locked gazes with Matteo.

Caught. Yet there was no malice in the dark brown irises, just amusement and a silent challenge. Matteo straightened his spine. That was one challenge he was willing to accept.

He moved through the crowd, sidestepping and gently shoving some individuals from his path until he stood an arm’s length from his prize.

“Took you long enough.” The man chuckled.

“There are so many distractions at this party. It’s hard to focus, Linc.” Matteo moved closer, sliding his fingers over the satiny material of the woman’s dress. “My little vixen.”

She offered a pretty pout. “You found it hard to focus on me?” Randa tilted her head to the side, her hair sliding over her shoulder.

Matteo studied her. Her silvery eyes were a little bright, her pupils dilated, and she bit her bottom lip against the sigh easing out of her mouth. Linc must’ve reached her pussy and was stroking her. Matteo longed to do the same thing.

Instead Matteo threaded his fingers through her hair, gripping the tresses until she parted her lips, and drank the sigh from her mouth. She briefly resisted, lifting her hands to place it on his chest. The heat of her palms bled through his cotton shirt and singed the skin beneath.

Matteo kept the kiss demanding, not giving her time to breathe but only to accept his raw dominance, the explosive hunger he held for her, the only woman to ever draw responses from him.

He knew the exact moment she submitted; Randa curled her fingers in his shirt and pulled him closer. Deepening the kiss, he swept inside her mouth and then dragged his tongue over her lips, teeth, and finally dueled with her tongue for supremacy.

Randa made a small noise in the back of her throat. He tugged her hair and placed a hand at the base of her neck. Her pulse beat a frantic staccato against his palm. He wanted to take her now, hard and fast. Bury balls-deep and let her hot, tight cunt milk him dry…and then do it all over again.

“Now, Matteo.”

Linc’s voice reached him through a haze. Reluctantly, Matteo drew back. Randa stared at him through half-closed lids. Her lips were swollen and glistened from his kisses.

“She’s practically drenching the stool,” Lincoln said with reverence.

A blush bloomed across Randa’s cheeks, and she ducked her head. Very gently Matteo pressed two fingers beneath her chin and lifted until she stared into his eyes.

The role-play thing was cute. She would never have dared to suggest it herself. Now that he’d freed her from the constrictions of everyday life, she could explore it at will. Their agreement had said all acts between them were consensual. If she told him not to do something, he’d stop. They could engage in all kinds of things she’d normally never consider.

“Are you going to ravish me now?” she asked.

“Ravish?” He stared at her as if he didn’t understand the word.

“You know… you abducted me from the harem of the evil sultan so you could have me for yourself,” she said. “You must have planned on ravishing me.”

His expression cleared. “But of course. You aroused such passion in me I stole you away for my own voluptuous purposes.”

Laying it on a little thick again, but the pure hokeyness made the pretending all the more fun.

“I live to serve my master,” she said. If they kept this going, she’d end up giggling, and that would spoil the mood. So instead of any more conversation, she pressed her palm to the front of his robes. As she’d suspected, she found a very impressive bulge there. Long and thick. Her mystery researcher was endowed with more than beauty, it seemed.

He sucked in a breath and groaned.

“You had some of that wine, too, huh?” she said.

“When you arrived. I’ve been waiting to make you ready since.”

“I’m ready.”

He pushed her hand away. “Not quite.”

Before his meaning could register, he turned her onto her back on the couch. Because it was the style the Romans had used to dine from, it had no back, and he was able to part her legs, leaving them to dangle over the sides. In the next second, he covered her with his body and kissed her, taking possession of her mouth in a clear prelude to much, much more.

Running her arms around his neck, she answered. She was his, at least for now. He’d already given her one stupendous climax, and the main act wouldn’t disappoint. He seemed eager to please, and he had all the right equipment. This would be one glorious fuck.

What, the F word? She never used that, not even in her fantasies.

All worries about profanity flew out of her head as he moved lower along her body. Neither of them had removed their clothing, but hers was so sheer it hardly counted. He easily closed his mouth around her nipple, teasing it through the fabric.

How sweet and forbidden. As if he couldn’t stop long enough to get her naked. He’d made sure nothing covered her pussy, though. Smart man. She probably wouldn’t have the patience to disrobe, either.

He didn’t stop at her breasts, but continued lower, his hot breath laying a trail over her belly and below. Oh, my, he was going to do $that. A few lovers had tried with her, but she’d usually frozen so badly she couldn’t enjoy it.

Only, this wasn’t the real world. She’d had the spiked wine, and the make-believe had freed her to try whatever she wanted. And though her mind might have some reservations about oral sex, her pussy thought it was a wonderful idea. Already the fires were burning there, not having completely extinguished from his earlier loving. This man could make silly dialogue sound good. He could work magic with her most intimate flesh.

So when he arrived there, eased her thighs farther apart and placed his mouth on her lips, she sank back into the cushions and let him do exactly what he wanted.

When his tongue brushed her clit, she nearly exploded out of her skin. The slight rasp was like nothing she’d ever felt before. He created magic with her body, turning her into a creature so carnal she hardly recognized herself.

But even this served as prelude. He had more to give her, and she’d have him. Now.

Out of her mind with need, she groped for his head and touched his face. “I’m ready.”

He raised his head. “You’re sure?”

“God, yes,” she said. “Do I have to beg?”

“Never.” He sat up and tugged at his robes. The heavy top one went first, flying across the room when he threw it. Beneath that, he wore a caftan of a softer cotton. He nearly tore it in his hurry to get naked. When he’d finally removed that, nothing blocked her vision of his body. Just as magnificent as she’d imagined when she’d dubbed him The Bod. Firm and sleekly muscled. And at the base of his torso stood his cock. Stiff and ruddy with arousal. He had, indeed, waited a long time for satisfaction. She’d give it to him now.

With no further discussion, he took his place between her legs and drove his sex into hers in one thrust. His size would have proved difficult had he not excited her so completely. Wet and eager for him, her pussy closed around him. Neither of them moved or spoke, but the expression of wonder on his face echoed her own sense of perfection.

Then he closed his remarkable blue eyes and began to move. Slowly, at first. Deep thrusts. Exploring. Finding his way inside her.

Now, the universe contracted to contain only them. The heat of his body as it moved over hers. The sounds he made as he plundered her and her answering sighs. The friction of his hardness against her inner walls. She surrendered to all of it, allowing herself to drown in the sensations.

She’d climax again, with him inside her. Her muscles would grasp at his flesh. Already, the tension built. With each thrust, he drove her closer.

With a groan, he increased the pace. Pushing harder and deeper. As if he couldn’t get enough of her. He’d reached the end of his patience and would come soon. So would she. He’d made her ready, and now he’d finish them both.

The orgasm came suddenly, engulfing her entire being. She cried out again as her hips rose to meet him. Then the spasms — strong and regular. His voice joined hers in a shout as he stiffened. They clung to each other as the ecstasy played out.
