Sky Robinson

Yeah! It’s my turn! I’m Sky Robinson and I write smutty romance.

In my books you’ll see that I have a thing for very alpha, very strong, and very smart men, and of course the women tough enough to tame them.  I like to dabble in different areas of erotic romance. Bermuda Triangle has a very sexy m/m/f ménage, Double Dare has plenty of exhibitionism and voyeurism, and Going All In is filled with one-on-one sweaty, hot, Vegas-style fun. What can I say? I get bored easily and like to play with different topics.

A little about me personally. I started off working as a lifeguard, then a cocktail waitress, Forest Service Aid, and finally a teacher. I taught special education until I decided to stay home with my first little guy and quickly learned that being a stay at home mom was not for wimps. I took up writing again, needing a break from Elmo and Barney and cleaning the house. Did I mention I hate to clean?

Now most of my time is spent chauffeuring kids, working in my garden, making wine, and of course drinking it. I’m an excellent cook, I love to bake, and am a runner…but only so I can eat more of the good stuff I make without the guilt. I’m doing a half-marathon in two weeks that will either kill me or make me stronger. Right now it’s looking like the kill me option is more likely as I limp around the house and feel like my toenails are going to fall off. Sexy, I know. Whose brilliant idea was this anyway?

And because I’ve had too little sleep and run out of intelligent thought for the night I’m adding some facts about me that will hopefully be interesting to you all.

  1. My most embarrassing moment was being caught skinny-dipping in a hotel pool. (Who knew they had cameras to watch the pool afterhours?)
  2. I know how to fly an airplane (and have never crashed one).
  3. I worked as a cocktail waitress in a casino to pay my way through college.
  4. I love to ride motorcycle. Not behind a man, I like to ride my own.
  5. I’ve never been to jail (yet).

” I have a thing for very alpha, very strong, and very smart men, and of course the women tough enough to tame them” That’s my kind of book! I haven’t read any of Sky’s books yet, but they are going on my wish list!

Wow Sky! It sounds like you live a fabulous-and exciting-life. You really know how to fly an airplane? That is so freaking awesome. My husband would be jealous! He wants to learn quite badly so we have been talking about it, but we haven’t decided on it! 🙂

You are so right. As a stay-at-home mom, I learned how challenging it can be. I love every second of it, but it is more work than when I worked a 9 to 5 job. Now, I am working on balancing being at home and starting a writing career. It is fun and more than a little interesting, at times. 🙂

Good luck on the half-marathon! I have no doubt that you can do it! 🙂

  3. Sky Robinson

    Thanks Michelle!

  4. Sky Robinson

Mia-I do know how to fly and it is amazing. If you can swing it financially for him to learn you should definitely go for it!

I love the fact that you started writing again when you were an at home mom. That is exactly what I am doing myself, I am an at home mom of a 3 and 2 yr old and I hate cleaning house, though i know if i don’t do it it will be weeks befoer it gets done, lol. So in my limited spare-time I am trying to write a book as well. Such a coincidence, don’t you think?
Oh, and I love that you fly, you have way more guts than I ever would, I hate to fly let alone fly my own plane!

    • Sky Robinson

Hi Lisa! Isn’t it crazy how the house cleaning fairy never comes when you need her:) Good luck with those little ones and getting your book finished!

  6. I haven’t read any of your books yet, but if they’re as good as your writing voice on this blog I can’t wait to check them out.

  7. Randi Alexander

Oooh, caught skinny dipping. That’s something you’ll need to work into a book some day!

  8. Love all the careers…No jail huh? We might need to change that..LOL…

  9. Jasmine Haynes

Wow! You’re amazing, Sky! Half-marathons, writing, kids, flying! The closest I ever got to actually flying was jumping out of a plane! I totally admire you for all the things you do.

  10. Sky Robinson

    Thanks Jasmine!

  11. Wow!!! Thank you, Sky!

Holy crap, girl, you can fly a plane. I’m jealous! I was so jealous about the making and drinking of the wine. But, I have to say, the flying a plan has let my green monster out, and boy, is she envious. =)

I just realize that I want to do ‘all of the above’ on your list accept for a stint in jail. I’ll leave that bit of excitement for my characters dancing around in my head. =)

  12. Sky Robinson

Thanks for stopping by Christine! It is nice to have characters to force into do all the crazy things we think of isn’t it? This could have saved me a lot of bruises and close calls earlier in life.

  13. LOL! You’re hilarious! Which is why you’re so much fun to hang out with!

I love Alpha men too. Also can commiserate with the pool incident – still feel the shame 🙂

  15. It sounds like you have a very exciting life. I stay at home with my four kids but don’t have no of the excitment that you do. I love to read about very strong men in my romance books. Makes me feel like I’m going places every time I read. It was great learning some new things about you.

    • Sky Robinson

It’s funny Crystal, I don’t feel most days like I live a very exciting life. Usually I cook, clean, do laundry and write, and a lot of time it’s much better to read about the adventures than actually be a part of them… Raising kids is enough of an adventure itself.

  16. Caught skinny-dipping, too funny. I work at a hotel and we have camera’s in our pool area also. I have seen some crazy stuff while working there. I caught someone having sex in the whirlpool, had to go tell them to get out, that kids swam in there. I closed the whirlpool for the rest of the night. I told them to go use their room and not do inapproiate stuff and that I reminded them that most places record video and have cameras.
Lots of great authors and books, would love to win. Thanks for the great giveaway.

  17. Hi Superwoman, I mean Sky! Can I just pack you along if I ever go on that walkabout Down Under in my bucket list? Holy Moses on a motorbike, woman, I’d be all set. I don’t know who’d do the cleaning because I hate it too, but we’d figure it out over a glass of wine. What’s your bravura, btw? My rhubarbs are looking good this year.

And sprain-free marathoning! I’m a fitness enthusiast but I gotta say I’d rather eat nails and flush them down with engine fuel than run so kudos, seriously.

  18. Chrisitne

Yum….the last time I checked, you were almost in jail….several times!!!!! 🙂 I LOVE your books & I am telling all my “mommy board friends” about you 🙂

  19. Stephanie

Fun times! I am with you on the stay at home mom bit. I believe my little stent of doing just that led me to drinking wine barefoot! Thanks for insight into your books! I will be visiting your site very soon!

  20. Susan W.

I haven’t read your books yet but if they are half as interesting as your post then they have to be good! Besides, who could resist a strong alpha male! I’m just finishing up a school year working with middle school special ed students so I have to say that sitting around barefoot with a glass of wine sounds like something I need to start. LOL!

    • Sky Robinson

You can’t go wrong barefoot with a glass of wine. I think I may pour myself one now… Thanks for stoping by Susan!

  21. Jacki C

I am going to find Double Dare and read it. 🙂

  22. June M.

I am going to have to check out your books. I loved your post, you definitely know how to have some fun. There is no way I could fly a plane, I am very scared of heights (I tell people that this is why I am short, I planned it that way, lol).

    • Sky Robinson

Haha. It’s awesome when nature works with you and your fears 🙂

  23. WOW! What an exciting life. I love the different jobs you have done. I can only imagine being a cocktail wattress. I waitressed for 3 years at Shoneys during college and that was enough for me. It is nice to meet another special education teacher. I am still in the field. I can’t seem to leave it yet.

I will remember that about camera’s in the pool areas next time I get a bright idea like that.

You are one accomplished woman, Sky!! Hats off to you, and thanks for giving us a peek at the woman behind the stories 😉

  26. Impressive list of jobs. Thanks for sharing always interesting to see some behind the scenes.
